A happy ending to a satisfying Equisession™.

Ada giving feedback during an Equisession™.

Classes are offered at SUNY/ Ulster.

Equisessions™ combine the Taoist practice of Chi Kung with equine activities.

Equine activities include riding, round pen work, in-hand work, grooming and just hanging out with horses. Integrating Chi Kung with any equine activity enhances the connection between human and horse, and adds a healing quality to the interaction.

Equisessions™ are effective with:

  • Riders of any orientation or level of experience
  • People, with or without equine experience, seeking a new kind of healing
  • Riding instructors of any style of riding
  • Students who feel stuck in their learning process
  • Horses with emotional and energetic imbalances
  • Owners seeking deeper contact with their horses, on the ground and in the saddle

What happens in an Equisession?

Chi Kung exercises, which include The Six Healing Sounds with gentle movements along with mind/body connection exercises, are carefully explained and taught on the ground. What is taught is immediately applied to riding, handling or other types of work with the horse.
The application is explained in the context of the rider/handler's goals for the session. The exploration of the application of the Chi Kung to the equine activity yields delightful results for the balance of the session. These results are easy to sustain and integrate, and the work is cumulative over time

Lasting Benefits of Equisessions™ include:

  • Increased connection between human and horse, mounted or on the ground
  • Deep relaxation
  • Physical/emotional pain relief
  • A joyful connection to the world
